Yumi
Yup for all those mag pips. share as the newest, hippiest, favorite and recommended magazine you've read.

Tell us why we should buy it..

Could it be any kind of magazine?

I recommend Total Girl for girly girls lol. *giggles* It's a great magazine and has the latest news, updates, trends and gossips on just about every subject a girl would love! happy.gif

I also recommend K-zone... magazine for kids of all ages. It has lots of fun facts and useful information plus kids won't have to be bored while learning. K-zone proves learning could be fun!

For anime addicts, there's Otakuzine and Cosplay magazine. Rich with reviews, overviews and info about anime, games and manga and Japanese pop culture!

For comic-magazines, I recommend Mangaholix. Our very own manga anthology made by Filipinos themselves! I think they've really done a lot to make it interesting and awesome. A little more improvement would never hurt though.

WITCH is also a great magazine. I'm a fan of all things Disney that's why I'm also a fan of WITCH. The art is amazing and the magazine has plenty of nice articles and activities.

i think culture crash stop the publishing i just dont know why.

Culture Crash had a culture clash, apparently... I think it's due to the fact that not all artists approve of the new mag lay-out and design... I've been hearing rumors about this for the last few months, and it's been rumored that PSICOM is selling them out to Antarctic Press. Kaya yun... Nag stop na ang staff ng production... babalik nlang daw sila pag naayos na ang issue bet. A.P. and PSICOM. You can still get back-issues at Filbar's, though...

---------------------

About the mag thing, It's been a very long while since i've seen a good mag come out. Here's the lowdown:

K-zone - Good mag, pero bumaba ang quality ng mag nung nagtaas sila ng presyo... It looks as though Coco is having a hard time with the new staff.

OTAKUzine - Ratings and quality slipped after last year's O-zine Cosplay...

W.I.T.C.H. - Haven't read this mag in over 3 and a half years. Last I heard, The Jewel of Kandrakar is gone...

Mangaholix - Nope, not seen this one yet... but the grapevine has some good stories to tell of this one...

GAME! - Stopped publication at issue 12, vol. 1 (too expensive, I suppose?)

Total Girl - Girly mag, still circulating. No review available, as I don't buy this...

Otaku pero it's kinda "not great" because hindi medyo worth it sa Php 85 kase medyo liit liit lng ang mga pages
Kyon
"K-zone" Even though this mag is small, but the contents are quite a pack for featured animes and stuffs... (kaso, pabalik-balik minsan yung mga featured anime nila emo-oh43.gif )

i don't really recommend otakuzine but yun lang yata ang natitirang na anime magazine to this day.

maganda rin yung k-zone, it's very informative but for someone who doesn't engage much into cartoons (not animes but cartoons), di na ako masyadong nakaka-relate.

for a comic, i highly recomment w.i.t.c.h. magazine, although di na me nakabili but the story's so good

Otakuzine makes me laugh... Half of the stuff in there is just purely based from oppinion. Mangaholix and uhm cosplay mag are what we usually read as well...

Aside from anime, id say Playstation magazine would be good, for games and all...Maxim and FHM are just good for a read...

I don't really understand the phrase "are based from (on--is more appropriate, sorry) opinion"... I mean reviews are opinions... features too... when you say something is good or popular that in itself is an opinion already... siguro what you mean is, half of the stuff there are baseless or are opinions not backed by facts or are just too personal to sound credible... or perhaps their opinions are also based on other people's opinions? which one is correct? I just want to point out though that even seasoned critics are also just making opinions and their opinions are more often than not, a tapestry of other opinions as well... so it's really just the delivery and analysis that sets the difference... XD I mean no offense but when I read criticisms, good or bad, I try to understand them... if they have meet or if people can just shrug it off...But in this case kasi the comment doesn't make any sense to me and is a bit vague... or maybe it's just me but I think I kinda know what you mean...

anyway, I love Shoujo Beat... it has everything... however, the manga are more on the shoujo side (whoa, who am I kidding kaya nga shoujo beat eh)... it features Japanese Street fashion and culture too... plus music features and other interesting and useful stuff... there's a bit of cosplay in there too... but it's too expensive... Mangaholix has nice storylines but I'm not too keen on the dark stuff (such as layout/art) and the features... Otakuzine is all anime but you know the mag is going through a lot of changes and I'll be biased if I comment further... XD I didn't like how WITCH progressed... K-zone is already beyond me... Cosplay mag, articles are fine... but a cosplay mag should boast of quality photos which I have yet to see in the magazine...

For girl mags, I strongly recommend Meg... their features are interesting and useful...

FHM is tabloid TV for me... same goes for Maxim... it's really the sex that sells... articles are.... err... just reminds me of how my officemates think...and talk... not bad but not impressive either...

Culture Crash really had nice comics... too bad they had to fold...

Questor still reigns supreme for me... articles-wise, manga-wise, funny-stuff-wise... they just had sections that we deem were unnecessary... but I had my explanation for that... too bad they had to close too because the last publisher had a particular bias regarding mag content... meh...
