Every other day, or everyday if I feel like it, I'll review a relevant website that I've found while wandering about the net, while in a daze... Please leave your comments and website requests, too! I wanna know what you guys want!!!

Webwatch #1:


Today, I'll be reviewing "The Bento Corner"



Well, Let's start things off with a simple concept...
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly...

The Good:
* Well made site.
* Features how to make pretty Bento Boxes for lunch or picnics
* Includes ideas for Bentos
* Has recipes for all kinds of Bento fare
* Site owners are helpful, and the people there are all polite

The Bad
* Mostly Bentos meant for kids
* You gotta dig DEEP to find the recipes
* Your mouth will water SOOO much, you won't be able to concentrate on the page...
* Most of the recipes are Japanese

The Ugly
* Bland color scheme
* Website owners are SOOO busy nowadays, that they almost have no time for updates...

cool. it really looks cute.. the image i mean.. this question bothering me. Bakit japan lang ang mahilig mag design ng mga baonbox nila. Well from rice to toppings then sama mo na rin yung desert nila.?

over all. nice one rocky! keep up the site review, you really help us gain more info about the different site.

Today, I'll be reviewing Kung Foodie.com



Well, let's start with another "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" segment, shall we?

The Good
* Site offers a ton of mouth-watering Japanese sweets and delicacies
* Site has a lot of helpful members
* Has lots of recipes
* Presented nicely, with a few tasteful (LOL) jokes thrown in the mix to prevent boredom

The Bad
* One phrase... 4 words, all with one syllable... "A TON OF LINKS"
* The site itself is a reflection of an average kitchen-- TOTAL CHAOS.
* The blogs that make this site a good one actually hinders the search for good food... but if you are willing to wade through a venerable tsunami of blogs, posts and articles, you will definitely be awarded with culinary gems.

The Ugly:
* That weird banner... it freaks me out!!! It feels sorta perverted in a funny, ketchup-bloody, french-fries-splattered-all-over-by-it sorta way...
* And the caption on the said banner... "Come on then... How does it feel?"

Today, I'll be reviewing The Anime' Cafe'



Okay... Time for another "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"

The Good:
* Excellent anime site... features a ton of facts, trivia and other anime related stuff!
* Check out Anime Cafe's "Cafe Latte" section... I almost went laughing!
* It's got so much info, your mind will explode!!!

The Bad:
* Not much in terms of ARTWORK... but what little they DO have, is a keeper.
* Updates have been scarce lately.
* It's got so much info, your mind will explode!!!

The Ugly:
Umm... let's see now...
* Blah color scheme... StarBucks has more color... heck, Nescafe has more color!!!
* What?! No Art gallery?! And you call THIS an anime site?!
* It's got so much info, your mind will explode!!!

i've been to anime cafe. and got some of their anime trivia and more. such as Laws of anime, all i ever learned, learned from anime.. and so on.

and yes, lack of anime images..

but all in all - you can get really good info for first timer. heheheh

As for the Anime Cafe', I've been there as well so I'll give it a rating of 7 out of a possible 10, too...

...A lot of people are hungry... including me... So, tomorrow's WebWatch will be about...

Now, the thing is, this website has made my mouth drool SOOooo much, while laughing my guts out at the same time, I almost did

The Good:
* Full of authentic chinese recipes!!!!
* Each recipe has a full color pic attached!
*That cute chinese banner is look nice. (HAH!!! I made an engrish pun!!!)
* It's in English! (Well, Engrish....)
* The Engrish!!!! Oh, GOD!!! The Engrish!!!!


The Bad:
* The Engrish!!!! Oh, GOD!!! The Engrish!!!!
* The Web Master calls Shiitake Mushrooms as "hard black mushroom"
* You'll feel hungry anyway...

The Ugly
* Bland color scheme... I mean... Yellow on Yellow is NOT good!!!
* Some pics are not really "high quality"
* Hasn't been updated in a while.
* That big, red button on the main page asking for donations... specifically, 2$ donations
* The Engrish!!!! Oh, GOD!!! The Engrish!!!!

Engrish example:
"Serve in hot temperature is better, or chilled for better feeling in Summer"

It blinded me!

Yellow on yellow - NOT A GOOD COLOR!

It hurts my eyes...

Nywy, Aside from that... Let's see...

+ Ah yes, the Engrish. You could already see the Engrish at the Homepage.

+ Well putting those above aside, I'd say there are a lot of Chinese Food Recipes the people can do. The pictures could use a little updating. Not that appealing to the eyes and stomach yet... ^__^

I'm just not one of them... Never really fond of cooking here...

+ Out of a possible 10, I'd give it a 7... Still a fair judge here...

Yes, well, I agree with you there... It isn't very visually appealing... but most of the recipes are easy to make, and even kitchen novices can cook them. Just stay away from the Engrish....

anou? rocky - kun why in the hell you always review a website about food? it makes us hungry.

back to the topic: well i dont have much interest in Chinese food. and i dont know to cook either but i want to learn ( kaso tamad ako) ]

So more or less chinese food is not my type. plus the yellow bg of the site hurt my eye. about the engrish thing.. please be considerate.

Welcome to another segment of Rockman's Webwatch. Today, I won't be reviewing a web site... I'll be reviewing a web page. Ladies and gentlemen, if you are easily disturbed by the issues of today's younger generation, please... I'm begging you... do NOT open The world's most disturbing children's book.



For some reason, this book came as a shock to me... I mean, I've been hardened by all sorts of disturbing media... Be it p0rn0 movies, l0llies, ecchis and other such hardcore media junk... But I was totally shocked to read this book. At first I thought that it was a joke... a very sick joke, but a joke none the same... Let me tell you... THIS book made my blood run cold. There are no "good" or "bad" or "ugly" things about it... This book is plain, hard FACT and is obviously the result of past experiences. It touches almost all of the disturbing facets in our society as of today. From nudity, to homosexuality, to flat-out disturbing "Michael-Jackson-would-be-oh-so-proud" sexual abuse... and all from a children's book.
This book was written by an abuse victim. You know it's sad.

its really sad.. most of the families are not aware of what happening in their children. this happen most of the time in every class of the society. Our development in techies, economy, and industries is beyond our imagination but we never thought that the children need more concern.

The book is good. although it really need a parental guidance when reading it. because some of the words in the book they might miss understand.
