Plot:
In the year 2015, half of the human race is dead, and the survivors face extinction at the hands of giant biotechnology experiments called Angels.

Within the headquarters of the secretive organization called NERV, a special United Nations agency located in Tokyo-3, a handful of teenagers are trained to pilot the colossal super-entities known as Evangelions and battle the Angels on their own terms... whatever the cost to their minds and souls.

Shinji Ikari, whose father heads the NERV team that developed and maintains the Evangelions, is thrust into a maelstrom of battles and events that he does not understand. He is forced to plumb the depths of himself for the courage and strength to not only fight, but to survive...

this anime is a good one. although medyo magulo lang ang story. and a little guidance is advice because of the psychological story line.

i miss this anime..... favorite ko ditong eva yung 01, pero pilot si Kaoru....

i like rei ayanami. hindi ko alam kung bakit.

there is a remade ending for this anime but...

i recommend you to watch the original instead...

naalala ko pa ung kwarto ko dati puro rei ayanami posters and pics naka sabit sa walls and ceiling ko... haiz... and 5 diskettes full of REI's PICTURES and wallpapers... God i just love her...

I love the psychological trauma and damage it induces... The creator Anno Hideaki was the supposed influence of its psychological element, since during the production of this anime he suffered from mental depression. (yeah someones gonna corect me, have no doubt of it.)
So in like wise the hero of this story Shinji Ikari is based from Annos own personality, like wise most ofthe characters are.

You wont understand the movies if you dont watch the series.

You, meaning xiel, watched death and rebirth and/or rebuild of evangelion so of course there is putol-putol. Those were the movies, not the series.

Xiel watched the series on a local station, but they cut so many of the scene that makes it sooo damn hard to understand.

Black is right. Our local station here is so damn freaky errrmm never mind so I want to rewatch this but I don't know where I can watch or buy this series..T_T

there's a Rebuild(?) version, and i dunno what it is. i have the 10th anniversary re-release of Evangelion, though it's essentially the same series, just cleaned up and released in DVD quality.

not one of the best, but it's the first to really use a multi-genre formula and had success with it.
