Plot:

It is the world where the man-eating demon hangs out. To fight against the demon, the human beings create female soldiers that are half demons and half human. They have silver eyes and large swords. They are named Claymore after their swords.
When Claire was a child, she met Theresa, the strongest Claymore. To save Claire, Theresa broke their iron rule to kill a human. Because of breaking the rules, she was wanted by punitive group. Pricilla, a member of the punitive group, couldn't control the power of the magical sword, and turned into an "Awakened". Then, Theresa was beaten by the large power of Pricilla. To avenge Theresa, Claire decided to inherit Theresa’s flesh to become Claymore.

This anime just went out of style? Well I lost interest much as fast as it drew my attention, very fast.

This one is pretty good...

It's like an improve version of DMC...

actually it isn't that bad, when you think about similar ones. i just hope there's a new season coming.

this is one of the best action animes i've seen so far (not a big fan of the music, but hey). the swordfight scenes were very intense, especially if Irene is present, and the animation is generally good. what i was like "bleh" about was the character design that seemed to reuse elements from one character to another with minor differences.

i agree with you, its one of my favorites too, but the ending is different from the manga that disappointed me a little. anyways if they going to have a season 2, i just hope that it would be much much better since they need a lot of work to pull out the the bad ending.

haven't read the manga yet so i can't make comparisons.

there are rumors, though, of a second season to address the issues unanswered still.
