By the end of this semester, we must be able to produced a documentary worthy for our Sociology subject... I would just like to get some ideas from you guys... (well we're in a group, so what I might want may not appeal to my other groupmates... bummer...)

Our professor, basically did not gave us any theme... meaning we are free to choose whatever we like as long as it is connected to SOCIOLOGY (Society)... Well, that's sort of broad... isn't it? It's really ANYTHING and EVERYTHING under the sun... >__<

So... care to lend me so hand / ideas?

I was hoping something connected with the still nurturing cosplay-mania here in Cebu... but the conventions would be on November and December, and our documentation is due October...

The others wanted to do something about prostitution, but I've already had a bad background about it when a friend of mine in HS did it for our thesis (Economics - 4th year)... To have that documentation (as in on tape) would be a really hard tasks since no prostitute would be sane enough to be interviewed on tape, not to mention we have to pay him / her for a sort of "rental" fee... They don't really talk for free... That's what my friends said, thus their thesis wasn't much of a success...

Hmmm... other than that I was hoping that I could somehow re-make the topic for my thesis last year (which won the best thesis of the year award as well as snagging the best defender of the year award in the process)... Our topic at that time was about Internet and Video Game Addiction and its effects on students academic performance... But honestly I'm a bit reluctant to have that oen again since it isn't much of a serious problem or something, but hey, it would be an esy task creating that documentation since there are practically a lot of 'net cafes around...

hello Young Crusnik-san! if you want to pursue the cosplay-mania in Cebu, try to negotiate with the people who have organized and experienced the cosplay events here in cebu... the Akatsuki team who cosplayed both in Archon and Otaku Fest have their own yahoogroups. Some cebu otakus are active in istorya.net.
